Machinery  
bulletMachinery, (high speed compressors, pumps, generators, etc.) a serious source of industrial noise, can be made quieter with Sheald.  Sheald's thin profile allows it to be readily incorporated in the design and construction of sound rated equipment. From a practical standpoint, the reduction of noise from existing machinery usually requires some type of enclosure or shroud. Sheald, as the lining of a machine enclosure, is an excellent sound barrier.  It can be easily laminated to conventional materials such as wood, plastics or steel.  Even metal rods or bars which rattle around inside the spindles of screw machines can be made quieter by simply wrapping 2 lb./ft² Sheald around the exterior of the bar holders.
